This course introduces students to transformational development for contemporary missiology. Special attention will be given to the biblical and theological foundations of transformational development and will take into consideration the practical implications of implementing transformational development practices in a cross-cultural context.

Students will be able to wrestle with the contemporary challenges of paring social action with evangelism in a variety of contexts and develop a personal theology of transformational development.
