Catalog Description: An introduction to the fundamental principles of fluid mechanics, including fluid properties, pressure and buoyancy, control volume analysis, fluid dynamics, and flow in pipes and channels. Emphasis is placed on applying the conservation of mass, momentum, and energy to solve practical engineering problems involving fluid flow. Laboratory sessions provide hands-on experience with fluid behavior and reinforce theoretical concepts through experimental analysis.
