118390 - Intro to Christian Higher Educ (2025/SP:HEDS-500-01)

This course covers the history and current state of the diverse organizational structures within higher educational settings, with special emphasis on Christian colleges and universities in the United States and abroad. The course will cover topics surrounding mission and identity, leadership and management, diversity and inclusion, organizational structure, as well as various aspects of student success, college retention, and completion. This course will equip future leaders with the knowledge and analytical skills necessary to navigate the complex landscape of higher education administration, with a special emphasis on the unique challenges and opportunities present in Christian academic environments.

It is important to note that this course will not cover topics related to student development, student engagement, or student learning outcomes. Students interested in this topic should enroll in the HEDS 514 College Student Development course this Fall 2025 at Lee.
