FERPA Training

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) , is a law that protects student’s educational records. This law outlines student rights, parent rights, and institution responsibilities.
All employees are considered guardians of these records and must receive training on how to respond to the release of this information.
This course is informative and interactive and has an auto-save feature, so you may stop the course at any point and resume it later on without needing to start over.
The course should take approximately 45 minutes. There is a 10-question quiz at the end of the course. This quiz requires a score of 70% (7/10 correct or higher) in order to 'pass' the course. You may take the course up to 3 times, the highest grade of all
attempts will be accepted.

This course is designed to train you on the add and updates for demographic information within the Colleague by Ellucian software system.  All training material has been developed based upon the decisions and standards coming from the Demographics Team.
